「一切有為法，
如夢幻泡影，
如露亦如電，
應作如是觀。」

今有眾等護法來山請僧說法，上堂。法無定法，說無定說，法尚應捨，何況非法？

又說：「若見諸相非相，即見如來。」

所謂「諸相非相」者，諸相即是一切相；非相者，不是實有其相，而是虛妄不實的。

你能明白這一切相，都是虛妄不實的，你能明白這一切相都是假相，財、色、名、食、睡，這都是幻化無常的東西，令人迷醉不能解脫；也就是因為著住到這個假相上了。

因為你著住到假相上，就把真的忘了，既然忘了真的，就不自在了。

你若能把這個假相看破了，眞相即現前了，眞理也明白了，眞正智慧也有了。

你能如此，方能對佛法有大利益，得大利益，得大安樂，能以前無古人，後無來者。

所以各位護法居士等，你只要把無明破了，煩惱斷了，這時候，實相般若的智慧自能現前。

所謂無明，這無明就是糊塗了，就是不明白了，你因為不明白，就做一些個顛倒事；顛倒事，就醉生夢死，在這兒輪迴六道裡，永遠不能出離。

所以各位護法居士，好自為之，勇猛向前精進，乃至成佛，花開見佛，悟無生忍，所謂

「願生西方淨土中，
上品蓮華為父母；
華開見佛悟無生，
不退菩薩為伴侶」。

Are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, shadows;
Like dew drops and a lightning flash:
Contemplate them thus."

Today some Dharma Protectors have requested this monk to ascend the Dharma seat to speak the Dharma. The Dharma is not fixed, and there is no fixed way to expound it. Even the Dharma should be renounced, let alone the non-Dharma!

It is also said,

"If one sees all appearances as non-appearances,
One sees the Thus Come One."

Non-appearances means they are false, not real. You should understand that all appearances are illusory and false.  Wealth, sex, fame, food and sleep are illusory, impermanent things that intoxicate people so they cannot be liberated.

This is all because they attach to false appearances and forget about the real. Once they forget the real, they are no longer free and at ease.

If you can see through false appearances, the true appearance will manifest. You will then understand the truth and have genuine wisdom.

If you can be like this, then you will greatly benefit Buddhism and gain great benefit and joy yourself. And you should be a pioneer who has no peer among those who come before and after you.

Therefore, Dharma-protecting laypeople, all you have to do is break through ignorance and cut off afflictions, and the Prajna-wisdom of the True Appearance will come forth of itself.

Ignorance means being muddled and unaware, and doing upside-down things. Leading a befuddled life, you transmigrate in the six paths, never able to escape.

Dharma-protecting laypeople, do your best and courageously advance towards Buddhahood. When the lotus flower opens, you will see the Buddha and realize the patience of non-birth.

The verse goes,

"I vow to be re-born in the western Pure Land,
With the nine grades of lotus as parents;
When the flower opens, I shall see the Buddha and become enlightened to non-birth,
And irreversible Bodhisattvas shall be my companions."

我們萬佛城這兒要立楞嚴的壇場，最好你們誰發心把這部《楞嚴經》，天天能讀它，或者一個鐘頭、兩個鐘頭，能把它像讀書那麼讀，能記得又能背得出...

“Precepts” means rules and regulations. Their purpose is:

To stop evil and avoid misdeeds.
Not to do any evil,
But to offer up all good conduct.

Precepts include:

The Precept Dharma.
The Precept Substance.
The Precept Mark.

The Precept Dharma includes:

The Five Precepts (for laypeople)
The Eight Precepts (for laypeople)
The Ten Precepts (for novices)
The Ten Major and Forty-Eight Minor Bodhisattva Precepts (for both left-home and laypeople)
The 250 Bhikshu Precepts
The 348 Bhikshuni Precepts

All of those precepts are to tell you not to do any evil but to offer up all good conduct. You should hold the precepts purely and not go against them.

 

It is really not easy not to do any evil but to practice only doing good. Therefore, when the Buddha was in the world, all of the Bhikshus took the Buddha for their Teacher; but after the Buddha entered extinction, they took the precepts for their Teacher. The precepts direct all of our actions to be in accord with the Dharma, and so one should act in accordance with the precepts and not in opposition to them.   - The Flower Adornment Sutra, Chapter Sixteen:  Brahma Conduct . - Tips for moving ants... 移開螞蟻小秘方...

A few drops of tea tree oil (available at major pharmacies) around the areas of infestation will repel insects such as ants--and maybe termites--without harming them.  The smell of the oil alone is sufficient to drive them away.  Place a few drops ahead of them, and around them.  Do not block off  their retreat, but instead leave it open for them to turn around and go back.  All you have to do is be patient and allow them the time to make it  home--alive.  Do not drip the oil on them--that will kill them!

 

If you need to move ants out of the way, try wetting a small section of paper towel with water so that it is damp but not dripping wet.  Use the damp paper towel to lightly touch an ant from its side, and "pick up" the ant, then set the paper towel down at a different location (but still allows the ant to find its way home) and give the ant time to get off the paper towel.  Please do this one ant at a time to avoid accidentally crushing or drowning the ants. 

 

People have told stories that the more they killed insects, the more insects showed up in their houses.  Some tried sincerely transferring merit to them and that worked.

 

簡易驅蟻小秘方：滴數滴茶樹油（"Tea Tree Oil"，藥房有售）在螞蟻（或可試用於白蟻）出沒附近足以驅趕而不傷生。油的氣味就會讓它們避開。在它們前進的前方和四周滴幾滴，但不要切斷它們的退路，要留一條活路，讓它們能撤退回家。您只需耐心給它們一點時間，讓它們活著回家。請勿將油滴到它們身上，這樣會殺死它們！

 

您若需將螞蟻移開，將一小片紙巾用水沾濕，以微溼紙巾輕觸螞蟻將牠“沾”起，放到他處（但仍能讓螞蟻回家），給螞蟻時間從紙巾上走下來。一次請只“沾”起一隻螞蟻，以免壓死或溺死它們。

 

有人的經驗是蚊蟲越殺越多，誠心囘向反而有效。
